URGENT!! I seriously have to WARN YOU!! The KJV BIBLE has been CHANGED! (Look up the #MandelaEffect) The Lords Prayer in the KJV is not correct anymore in the KJV (how we remember "tresspasses" changed to "debts" and "those who tresspass against us" changed to "our debtors" and "ON earth" in Mt6,10 changed to "IN earth" - look it up!!!) and John8:32 has changed, as well as Isaiah11,6 changed from "Lion and Lamb will live together" to "Wolve(s) and lamb will live together"

PS: i'm not joking, i'm totally serious!
PPS: even wikipedia censors this topic... (see discussion on startpage in the wiki)
I have added the whole chapters collection back.
@BB1215: Alright. I'll get to work on it.
Maybe you should, Anna M.
OK. Let me know if any of you would like for me to add it back. If anyone else joins, I probably should, so that they can memorize it.
Yes, you did delete Jonah for us, but it still counts as group verses current if we have Jonah current. So it's okay. :)
I've been working on cleaning up my ST account and deleting collections that I'm not currently working on. I deleted Jonah from my account, but I'm a little worried that because I'm the admin, I might have deleted it for the rest of you. Please let me know if I did!
Zoe: I was a Primary last year, but I'm a Junior this year. I made Nationals in 2013 and in 2014, but I only went to Nationals in 2013. Florida was too far away from us.
Oh yeah, it's probably a problem from my account. Because I have both the whole chapters and the little parts memorized and current, along with the 59 2014 verses. Hmm.
The 59 are the Biblebee verses of last summer and the other 96 verses are from Jonah. :)
Nikhior, how can you have 155 verses current? I have all the verses current but I only have 59 current (it says)!
Why are you doing that? It's spamming!
Hey guys! So I just made a group for sharing BB photos: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/bible-bee-nationals Come check it out!

Hey let's have a ST meeting at Nationals!! We have Memverse and Quizlet meetings, so why not a Scripture Typer meeting??:)
Anna: It's going to be fun! I'm sure I'll see Joy and Delie sometime in the testing and prelims. :)
my 10th birthday was on the 12th!
Hi all,are any of you primary,I'm one and I made it.
@Rhino...the Hamster: Great job! @Rachel: I'm really looking forward to meeting you again :)!!!!! BTW, Joy and Delie are Seniors, so you might get to see them during the Preliminary Round (though C and M aren't very close :().
Anna Moss: I can't wait to see you at Nationals, and get to meet you for real XD (We met in 2012 but barely)
@Anna: No, sadly I didn't make it.. I ranked 170 =/
@Audrey: Haha! Yes, I'm a Wagner! Oooh, are you Audrey A.? You came in first place... Congrats!
Oh, never mind. I was able to change my picture on a different computer.
Great job everyone who competed in the Bible Bee! Whether you made it or not, you hid God's Word in your heart, and the Lord will be able to use that Word throughout the rest of your life. But now I wonder, how has devotion your time to God's Word changed you? How has God used the passages that you have hidden in your heart? I would love to hear about your memorization experience here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1JhQQhMK2BrLd43IpJUaEl3SNw3Aosz_1yuIF8fJpj4w/viewform?usp=send_form Thank you so much!
@Audrey: I'm a Junior, if that helps :). I think I know who you're talking about, though I didn't get to meet her last year. There are quite a lot of Anna's at Nationals, so it gets a bit confusing. I hope I can meet you at Nationals!!! @Everyone: Has anybody else had trouble changing their profile pic?
@ Anna: I've been so confused about this, too!! I know the other Anna M. really well, so I've been mixing up you and her on ST. (And yes, she was at nats last year and the year before, but not this year.)
@Rhino...The Hamster??!: I was at your local bee, too. You're a Wagner, right? I've met Lindy before through music related things, so I was kinda excited to hear the same last name.
has anyone been to the finals before?
@Rhino...the Hamster: Oh, okay. Has the Anna M. there made it to Nationals before? It seemed like there were several of them last year. Yes, I did qualify!!! Did you?
Congratulations to everyone who qualified! I'm so excited for you guys! :)
@Anna, Ah okay. I competed in Troy, MI. There was a girl there with the same name so that's why I asked. Did you make nats?
Congratulations to all who qualified!! I'm looking forward to meeting many of you shortly!! =)
Congrats to all who qualified. For those who are already hard at work studying, I have created a group called Memorize Nahum and you are all welcome to join.
Congratulations to everyone for your hard work and diligence!
@Rhino...the Hamster: Yes, my name is Anna M. I competed at the Midsouth Bible Bee held in Germantown, TN. Where did you compete?
@Anna, are you Anna M.? Where did you go for locals? If I may ask.
Now there are just 11 hours left!
We have a countdown on our kitchen chalkboard...only 23 hours and 45 minutes until scores are announced!
@Rhino...the Hamster: I'm glad that you enjoyed it. This was my third year, and I had a great time! @Carissa: I thought the test was easy compared to last year's, but I really don't know how I did. We'll see in 34 hours!
@biblebee-SR: I thought the test was much easier than last year, and I placed 1st locally. I can't wait for the scores to get out either! Too bad they changed it to Friday. ):
@Biblebee-SR: I thought the test was super easy, especially compared to last year. It was fun. :) (I got second at my local bee.) I can't wait to see the scores either. I want all my friends to make it to nationals!
Congratulations Carissa! I enjoyed the contest too and can't wait to find out the scores.
What did y'all think of the test? How did y'all do? I thought the test was easy and I placed 1at in our local bee. Now I can't wait for scores to be released! But I'll be busy with chemistry while I wait...so I guess that'll keep my mind off it... :P
This was my first year doing BB and I really enjoyed it!!
Yesterday was sooo much fun and such a blessing. I hope it was that way for all of you. Although, it was kind of weird to not have an oral round. What did you guys think of the test?
We're finished! :) and :( I thought about y'all a lot yesterday--can't wait to hear how everyone did. Remember, every single one of us is a winner, not because of how we ranked, but because of what we hid in our heads and hearts. God bless you!
Hey, guys! Is everyone ready for tomorrow? Tomorrow is sooo far away, yet way too close! I'm praying for you guys! :)
@Rachel: That's awesome! I'm totally gonna do that! Last year, I forgot and ended up praying, like, 2 hours after the requested time, but that works, right? :) This time I'll remember. :)
@Rachel: I was wondering if we were going to do that this year. Thanks for letting us know! :)
Thanks, Kelsey! I'm praying for you, too.
Copied from my set on quizlet...please share!!
http://quizlet.com/46173631/bible-bee-prayer-time-flash-cards/
Last year we had a Nation wide Prayer time the day before locals. Don't you think it'd be great to all come before the throne at the same time praying for one another? =) So I suggest that we all pray on Friday, August 22nd 2014, At 3 pm EST. Let's all pray for each other....that we will give God the glory through the Bible bee competition! Spread the word to fellow BB-ers :) Add to classes, whatever! And highfive or comment if you plan on joining :)God bless and happy studying :D
Contest is getting close! It's awesome that we get to do the contest, but sad that it's almost over.
I'm praying for you guys! :)
I just added that collection today, and there weren't any numbers in it (but I don't use your translation, so that's probably why).
Now I've edited the other two chapters.
Hi, everyone! I hope you are all being very blessed by your study of Jonah. I wanted to let you all know that I just edited the first two chapters of my collection (just Whole Chapters of Jonah) to include verse numbers. I think it probably just did it for my collection, but it may show up on yours also. You can click the pencil next to the verse to edit it out if you don't want it to have that. If you have any problems let me know.
Thanks, @Samantha Dancer1300 and @Bethany M. :) @Bethany M: Good job! :) Keep pressing on! :)
That's great, Carissa! I'm just about done with my SS - all I have left is finishing a couple of the D10 diagrams, which are always fun. :) And I don't have Jonah totally memorized, but I have the majority of it down. :)
Well, my verses, Jonah memorization and SS are completed. Now I'm just doing a lot of extra studying before locals. :)
Hey Carissa! Haven't talked to you in a while! It was awesome getting to see you again a couple months ago! :D How far are you? ♥
Hey Hannah! Haven't talked to you in a while! It was awesome getting to see you again a couple months ago! :D That's great that you've finished memorizing Jonah and all your verses! :)
It doesn't really matter if I've seen it or not, because I've memorized all my verses. There's a certain order you're supposed to recite them in, says our host, and no contestant is to know which verses until they recite them.
I've memorized all of Jonah and all of my verses! Time to work on the Hebrew/Greek words...
As I said...I don't think it's that big of deal if one sees it before they quote it. So, I'd say don't worry about it if you've already seen it.
Page 17 of the Rulebook says: *Parents must keep this passage list secure until the Oral Recitation takes place.* I think maybe we should delete the list from this page...
Leah: Can you please show me where that is said?
@All: I've heard conflicting things...but it's not that bad if you see the list ahead of time as it isn't going to score...
Oh. Well, that's terrible, 'cause I've seen the list. But why would we have access to the list if we weren't supposed to see it? From what my Hive host said, it sounded like we were allowed to see the list.
You still have to do an informal oral round (like you said in your last comment), but, like Leah said, I don't think contestants are supposed to see which verses before they recite them!
Also, you don't have to know them word perfect. You just have to say them to at least 2 listeners who are not in you immediate family.
@MissionaryLeah: This year there is no oral contest. You have to know those verses before the contest, and then they will ask you in the test if you learned your required verses or not. If you haven't then you can't go to nationals.
Contestants are not supposed to see that list until they take their oral round, according to the contestant rulebook.
Thanks Kelsey! I've memorized all of Jonah 2 and am working on Jonah 1. I know, you read right, I memorized Jonah 2 before Jonah 1. Whatever.
@Colossians 3:22-24: I hope it wasn't too late, but I filled out your form about why we memorize scripture. You had some really thought provoking questions. You're questions blessed me! :)
@Bookworm Cook: Awesome! Good job! :)
I have actually memorized a lot of Jonah by accident. I have memorized on here Jonah 2:9-10 and Jonah 2:7-8. :D
I filled out the form! I FINISHED MY BB VERSES!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Adeline! May the Lord bless you for it! :)
How funny(goes right below)
@Colossians3_22-24 Nice form. I answered it.
That sounds neat! How long will the form be available?
Since a lot of people (including myself) don't look at the announcements often, I guess I'll put this here too. :) Hi everyone! I am planning (Lord willing) on writing about book about memorizing Scripture. I would like to include some of your tips and testimonies to encourage my readers. I have a forum here that you can answer some of my questions, in the hopes of benefiting my future readers. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1PWlE8XDune0oge-V4lary_7DOGOeld66s28Ck7eOroE/viewform?usp=send_form Thank you so much for taking the time to be a blessing and an encouragement to those who desire to pursue the knowledge of the Lord through the habit of memorization.
We could probably do 2000, or maybe even 3000...
YAY!!! Good work everybody!
We are now 11th on the group rankings with 1276 verses!
@matthew: what smile4me said works. I just thought that I wold let you know that two people affirm it, so it will probably work for you.
@Matthew: If you click on Summer NKJV then under "Choose a Translation" you should be able to find your version. I actually don't use NKJV, but for awhile that was the only collection on my Local Bee, so I just added that and did it in my version.
Matthew, I'm pretty sure that if you click on the "add this collection" button, then it will automatically add it in your version that u've picked for your account. That's what it does for me, anyway. :)
Anna, would it be too much trouble to add this summer's verses kjv?
@Smile4me: Yes, they are the same for locals. They're the same for the primaries, too. For nationals though, we have different ones.
Are the junior and senior memorization verses for the BB the same?
I just added them! That was a good idea.
Anna, do you mind adding the Bible Bee summer verses?
Haha, good job Rachel! :D
It's so amazing...I can almost quote the first chapter of Jonah...just from reading it over and over again :D
Yep, the Primary Sword Study says that "shuwb" is Hebrew for turn.
That explains it! Thanks so much for the explanation.:)
E-1of5 and I figured out by looking at a Hebrew and Greek lexicon that: Neder is Hebrew for "Vow," Shuwb is Hebrew for "Turn," and Euche is Greek for "Vow." So I think that at the top of page 69 (Junior Sword Study) it should say that Neder is Hebrew for "Vow," not Shuwb. Hope that helps! :)
I just realized that at the top of the page it says shuwb is the Hebrew word for vow. It looks like neder is probably the Hebrew word for vow, but if someone has access to a Hebrew Lexicon it might be helpful to look it up.
In my Junior SS it says that neder is the Hebrew word for promise. On p. 145 it says that shuwb is the Hebrew word for turn. I could be wrong about neder because I have a hard time telling when the word is Hebrew and when it's Greek (unless it says next to the word :)).
I was just flipping through my Sword Study, and I noticed that in week three, day four(page 69 in the Junior study), it says that Shuwb is the Hebrew word for vow, whereas on the next page it says that Nadar is Hebrew for vow. To confuse me even more, week seven, day three(page 145 in the Junior study), says that Shuwb is Hebrew for turn! So here we go, is it a mistake(did Mrs McMahan mean Nadar on page 69, or some other word on 145), or is there more than one meaning for Shuwb, or something else that I didn't think of, or am I just mixed up? I am very bad with Hebrew words. Does anyone have a Junior Sword Study that says something different than mine? If you know what the deal is, I would appreciate the information. :)
Let's keep working and it should be easy to hide 1,000 verses of God's word in our hearts.:)
Good job, everyone! Now we have 311 verses!
I like it, but I haven't memorized it yet.
I really like Psalm 86:1-8, even though it took some time to memorize.
Good job! I think Psalm 86:1-8 is either the second hardest or the very hardest one, but the song helps a lot if you have the Musical Scriptures CD.
Good for you! Psalm 86:1-8 is so hard. It repeats itself so much!
Good job, Andrew! Haven't memorized that one yet.
Finally, I memorized Psalm 86:1-8! It took me a few days.
@Anna, I think this looks great, thanks! :)
I've pretty much already memorized some parts of Jonah because I try to write/type a chapter of it every day!
Would anyone like any other verse groupings? I would be happy to add them.
@GermanCello: My mom says hi. Sorry about this answer being kind of late.
@Andrew: I hope so, too. It is a neat story of God's forgiveness.
Tell your mom I miss her. :)
I hope all of us will be encouraged by memorizing Jonah. :)
Okay, tired of writing. I will write the first time through Jonah, type the next, write the next... and continue.
I miss you all so bad! I recognize a lot of you. Hoping to see you in the fall!
Oh, you're right. There's always the possibility that typing is just as tiring as writing. :P
I learned the first two verses in our hive meeting today, so I guess I'm going to learn Jonah along with the other verses. There goes what I thought I was going to do. :)
I have the first 2 verses memorized! xD xP
Oh sorry. =) My hand gets really tired when I type.
You could always just type the verses - it's faster and less tiring that way. I did that last year, and it helped a lot! :)
Your middle name is Elizabeth, or your sister is named Elisabeth? Or does your hand get really tired when you write? @Colossians3_22-24
@Colossians 3:22-24: You're welcome! So far, so good. I'll probably grow tired of writing soon though. My hand gets REALLY tired when I write.
I don't think I'm going to be memorizing Jonah until I get the other verses memorized.
Mhmm. @ Joy: My little sister's name is Elisabeth! But her name is spelled with a "s", not a "z". :)
@Hannah: My middle name is Elizabeth :)
@Anna: Thanks for creating this group!
Thanks for inviting me! Like most (or all) of you, I was extremely surprised when I found out that it was Jonah. I was not expecting that. But I think it will be really interesting to study Jonah. It's an usually overlooked book, and I never thought there was much to it, so this will be a a really good study.
Though, I don't think I'm going to be memorizing Jonah until I get the other verses memorized.
Thank you all for joining! I made this group a little while back, just so I could memorize Jonah. I really was not expecting SKF to choose Jonah, so it was a nice surprise!
@Bookworm Cook, writing a chapter of Jonah a day sounds like a good idea. I think I will try that! :) Thanks for sharing!
Joy: My middle name is Joy! Is your middle name Hannah? :D That would be SO cool if it was!
Wow, I'm am SO not shy over the Internet. But in person it's completely different.
I'm writing a chapter of Jonah every day. That will probably help me memorize it!
Thanks for the invi, Anna!
So. I am commenting a lot. I have only a few more things to say. PRAY HARD, STUDY HARD, AND HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See ya tomorrow, perhaps. I'll be more active on Scripture Typer now that Bible Bee has started again. :)
What's everyone's average typing speed? Mine is 79 WPM. I have typed Job 3:2 at 258 WPM, though. I had to type a few verses REALLY slowly to get my average WPM back down to where I could type other verses.
*looks at Smile4Me and smiles* Why?
By the way, I'm Hannah, aka Mommy's Helper, aka Sister of Cuteness Incarnate, aka Bookworm Cook, aka Joyful in Christ. (No, Joy, I did not try to copy you. Actually, that was my first Bible Bee Memverse account username. I had no clue your username was so similar to that, and I didn't even know you existed! But now I'm glad I do know and I am glad to know you through the Internet and I hope we can sometime meet. :)
Yeah. I looked at the cover, and nearly jumped back in surprise. "JONAH?!?!?!" I whispered (because others were still asleep). I had expected it to be Hebrews or Philippians or Galatians or something like that.
I am trying to write a chapter of Jonah every day.
Haha, Joy!
I shall see. I may do this.
Yes, I can't wait to swallow Jonah and the whale! Lol. I was very surprised by the SKF's choice of book, but VERY excited too! I look forward to seeing what God will teach me this summer.
I'm so excited to begin memorizing Jonah!
